National Championship & Fight For Life Cup ends on a high note at Shingle Creek in Orlando
DAYTONA BEACH, FL (October 17, 2022) –The season ending Chipd In National Championship and the Fight for Life Cup wrapped up this past weekend at Shingle Creek in Orlando, Florida. The Championships were the culmination of the the Fight For Life Golf Series , which kicked off in the Spring and finished nationwide in early September, as golfers from across the country competed against each other from their home courses via the Chipd In scoring app throughout the year, while supporting their chosen charity. The top points qualifiers in the final standings teed it up for the season ending Championships, the Fight for Life Cup and more than 60 different nonprofit organizations received financial support from the Joan L. Kidd MD Fight for Life Golf Series in 2022.
The Fight For Life Golf Series Creates Team Scramble Competition to Benefit Florida Charities at National Championship
DAYTONA BEACH, FL (August 1, 2022) –The Fight for Life Golf Series has opened registration for a limited number of teams to play in its scramble Team Competition on October 15 and 16. The Scramble Team competition will be played as part of the Fight For Life Golf Series Chipd In National Championship at Rosen Shingle Creek, with each team selecting one of the two days their team will be playing.
The Fight For Life Golf Series Selects Four Florida-Based Charities as Beneficiaries of its National Championship & Concert
DAYTONA BEACH, FL (July 18, 2022) –The Fight for Life Golf Series has selected First Tee - Central Florida, 1Voice Foundation, Florida Breast Cancer Foundation and the Panhandle Warrior Partnership as beneficiaries of its National Championship, which will take place October 14-16 at Rosen Shingle Creek in Orlando. Additionally, proceeds from the Fight for Life Concert during the event weekend at House of Blues on October 15, 2022 will benefit these organizations.

Qualifiers Will Compete For Fight For Life Cup At National Championship In Orlando In October
DAYTONA BEACH, FL (June 14, 2022) – In addition to competing for the Chipd In National Championship at Rosen Shingle Creek Resort in Orlando, golfers who qualify for that tournament who are eligible will be playing for the Fight for Life Cup.
The Fight For Life Golf Cup competition will be conducted concurrently with the Chipd In National Championship on a separate leaderboard and may be won by the same player. The National Championship is set for Oct. 14-15 at Shingle Creek. Those two competitions will be the grand finale of the inaugural Fight For Life Golf Series.

Kidd is the founder and CEO of the Joan L. Kidd, MD Fight for Life Continuum or Organization as applicable, an initiative he established in 2016 to enhance the quality of life for terminal cancer patients. His efforts have been inspired by his late wife, Joan L. Kidd, MD, a respected internal medicine and family medicine physician. Dr. Kidd was on board the Falcon X Heavy on the Atomic Clock satellite, which was launched into earth orbit on June 25, 2019. She was honored at a memorial service prior to the launch. She will be looking down on us as she circles the earth for decades to come!

An Evening of Hope
The launch event of the Continuum was held recently at the Orlando Museum of Art with a large turnout. After a brief reception, the evening program included a presentation of the Mission of the Foundation, followed by a one time, live recorded concert by the Beautiful Music Orchestra with Voices, performing some of Dr. Joan Kidd’s favorite music. Members who support the work of the Foundation receive significant benefits in the form of a national merchant discount program.
Awareness Cup
The Joan L. Kidd MD Awareness Cup has been adopted by the World Senior Golf Federation and will hereafter be presented at the annual Awards Gala of the World Senior Golf Championships each year as the Joan L Kidd MD Goodwill Cup. The World Senior Golf Federation is an international golf competition among 28 member nations, which has been conducted annually for the last six decades. Joan participated in the competition and joined in fellowship with other competitors from around the world. We at the Continuum are humbled and pleased that the World Senior Golf Federation has chosen to honor her in this way.
